Unitarian Universalist Children's Choir 2010

Khaki Clan holds a special place for me, since I was the “floater” chaperone for that group, and wound up being quite involved with this fine group of boys.

I am sorry that I wasn’t able to get all of the Family Features written while we were in St. Paul, but I have all of my notes and will be posting them over the next couple days. I feel bad that they won’t have the same view into their lives while they were away as before, but hopefully they can be a scrapbook of sorts for the kids going forward.

So the blog hasn’t stopped yet! Just taken a breather while I sat in a van for 12 hours yesterday (while developing a 102 degree fever! Glad that wasn’t a day or two sooner! And I’m feeling much better now.)

Fact 1: Let is be known that at 5:25pm, local time, I interviewed the 11th and final family. However, buses are leaving for GA at 5:45pm. Needless to say, the write ups will have to wait a bit.

Fact 2: (The actually important one) Remember to watch the GA Closing Ceremony stream live tonight at http://www.uua.org/events/generalassembly/2010/162704.shtml at 7:30pm Central time until 9pm. It is a full service and the kids are singing 3 songs during it.

Some various pictures of the concert and aftermath.

The other families I have talked to so far have been like most groups of people (young or older) with a few quite outgoing members naturally leading the conversation, and everyone else following along for the ride. That was not the case with the Pink Peeps.
